Adelaide is very well served by airlines.
QANTAS and Virgin are the two main domestic carriers and they have frequent services to all of Australia’s capitals – Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart and Perth – as well as to regional centres including Cairns (the Barrier Reef) and Alice Springs (The Outback).
International carriers include Emirates, Cathay, Malaysian, Singapore Airlines, China Southern and Air New Zealand. Others companies are planning to direct flights to and from Adelaide as well – we will pass on details of new entrants as they come to hand.
QANTAS is the IAC2017 Congress Airline. QANTAS will offer flight packages to IAC delegates and those who accompany them from early in 2017. Watch this website for advice as to when this service will be open for use.
Adelaide has a wide range of accommodation to suit all budgets and tastes – from chain to boutique hotels, from serviced apartments to back-packer style rooms. Many of these are located within easy walking distance – next door, across the street, within ten minutes – of the Convention Centre.
There are hotels at Glenelg, a beach side suburb that is a thirty minutes door-to-door tram ride to the Convention Centre, and there are motels scattered through the suburbs as well.
We have arranged special rates for IAC delegates at a number of hotels and these can be accessed through the IAC2017 portal.
Every visitor to Australia MUST have at least an Electronic Travel Authority. Some people require various types of visa. The ETA is applied for on line, typically is processed within 24 hours and costs nothing. There are NO exceptions.
